If you want the traditional 'best' sound for vocals then the best spring is going to be:

http://vnxtsound.blogspot.co.uk/2011/01 ... ready.html

There is an insanely generous full free 2.5 second program for free download.

But maybe you want a springy boingy effecty verb?

Best vocal verb is the VNXTEMT140 Plate, which has another full free demo program :)

If your looking for a complex spring reverb I would recommend vnxt's akg spring. This is a classic studio spring. David beat me to it

My springs are more character spring reverbs so maybe not what your looking for but I have another I'm sampling right now which again is charactuful but massive sounding.

I think it really depends on what your looking for.

And not to take away from VNXT and Tim P (I haven't tried their springs yet  ), but AITB also has a spring reverb, the TankVerb, that I'm a big fan of. It has different springs, different lengths, and different tones (dark, normal, bright).

I haven't tried it on vocals, but I know it works great on guitars and even worked on a snare track on one occasion for me.

I would say that Tim's and AITB Spring reverbs are the best for the Fender or Tube style spring. I use Tim's on vocals and guitars all the time and love them.

If you are looking for a spring with versatility or a more luxurious/spacious sound, check out the SKnote "Necklace" Sounds killer!
