Pick any EQ from ANY of the developers and you wont be disappointed. There really isn't a right answer to your question. Any EQ you pick will run circles around what you have in your vst folder ;)

Well you don't just EQ vocals for shits and grins. Normally there would be either a problem you're trying to solve or an area you're trying to sweeten and you would select an equalizer which, first and foremost, had the boost or cut at the frequency area you desire. So we really need to know more about what kind of EQ'ing you're doing than what genre or instrument. If you don't know what kind of EQ'ing you're going to be doing then I would suggest you stop buying things, do some production work with the tools you have and start to learn about what you do and do not need. Forum advice can really only go so far; you have to know where you're headed in order to get directions.

Truly, ANYTHING will be better than an algorithmic EQ in terms of depth and texture. BUT, I'm gonna go a little beyond that, because with rap vocals, Nebula can totally transform something recorded on an MXL 990 to sounding like something recorded on something much more expensive!

For rap, I've always liked the A*I sound. TONS of options in Nebula for that. Here's a great preamp that will give a LOT of texture without EQ.

...And here's a couple mics that should bring things up a notch.

Also, if you have Waves' Q-Clone, these may interest you:

Now that I'm finished dodging your question, here's some EQ's. Keep in mind, the EQ's I use in Nebula are from a company that no longer exists, so these are just ones that look good to me:

http://cdsoundmaster.com/site/cds-softw ... C-Neb.html (I do own this one, VERY good!)

Those ones should be more than enough  Also, keep your eye out, there's been at least one collection I've seen of free EQ programs!

For that I'd look at the Silk EQ (Tim P), the BXQ (CDSoundmaster), or the Black Master EQ (Alex B). I feel like I'm forgetting one that I use a lot too...will edit if/when it comes to me.
