I'll post some graphs of slow so you can see that The slow attack actually does not have the regular nebula attack artifact anymore! It does not slow down on less gain reduction. This was the reason I have not released any pay for compressors yet(variable attack) The focus compressor was the only one I had released and that was free. I really felt it was sensible to hold of until a solution was found.

We would hear less of a difference between the two on lower gain reduction :D There will be more clips coming in higher quality settings too!

A question for you guys, I'm going to select one ratio for a demo. Any preferences?

I'm definitely a fan of the "sample one ratio" approach. Whatever produces the best sound.

So Tim, these weren't render with high-quality settings? Would your high quality settings be longer, TIMED kernels?

If so, then YEAH! From Cupwise's compressors, the "poppy spittyness" sound completely goes away in the "SHQ" mode so I think these example clips would get much closer.

Anyway, exciting stuff! If you can get these clips really close, then I think you'd get a LOT of mileage out of a really strategically worded Gearslutz post when it's released.

And for ratio, 4:1.

Yes we can fine tune the program rates in timed modes, which can help the problem. I had done this for TNT and cal previously.

All ratios seem to be working fine in one instance but maybe I need to double check. The interpolation can be fussy about what it sees but in the case i think it's working well...

Is this going to be an all-in-one gui type plugin like Silk eQ or Trinity eQ?

There is a big gap waiting to be filled with the current Acqua plugin line...

tim, remember we could split things in two instances and get a better result inside a single acqua

No, the program rate was fine tuned in the original release of TNT to cut down on negative distortions.

However there will be update on TNT too for other reasons.

Sorry for the wait.

It's coming, I've been out gigging quite a bit in last weeks but am working on this when I can. Very close now!
