This is a tricky topic, because as much as I hate copy protection, more than one AITB dev has been hit hard by software piracy, and it is very possible that many of them will be slowly migrating to be using some form of CP. Your beloved Nebula itself is protected, so if you refuse to use software that has copy protection, you have already done so by having Nebula. I am as upset as everyone else about this, I am at great risk if I need to change systems. But demanding no copy protection might be unreasonable, so you may need to not use new libraries or even quit using Nebula if you are stubborn about it. I would probably reluctantly pick the copy protection actually, even though I would hate it. To each their own though.

The problem isn't having to go through hoops to gain authorization for the products we've purchased; the problem is when those hoops become unavailable. As it is, this is just another excellent example of copy protection harming paying customers (while apparently pirates are using some of these same libraries without hassle). That's unacceptable to me, being 'hit hard' does not justify that outcome.

I totally agree, it is indeed unacceptable and is indeed an example of CP hurting the paying users. That is exactly why I said that it is a tricky topic. Unlike my typical optimistic attitude, I don't think that there is a good solution that keeps both parties happy.

I'm taking aitb's current "The condemned live longer..." message on their website, along with countdown, as a sign for hope. I think we'll find out what their plan is once the countdown is finished, and I think it'll be good news for us users. I hope so, because there are definitely a few libraries I missed the chance to buy before they closed. I don't think Niklas would put up such a cryptic message unless it was a teaser for good news.

Niklas and the others have long since proven their love of Nebula and the community, and even though there hasn't been much word from them lately it really hasn't been that long since they closed shop. I can easily imagine them being too busy to even think about Nebula for the past few months, but once things settle down I'm sure they'll take care of our concerns. After all, they said they would in their first closing statement, and the past has proven their integrity. Let's not get desperate yet!

in my opinion -> cool down here <- when the aitb page was closed it was written aitb is locking for a solution for all existing customers. so, stay cool. I have some aitb librarys too and I have a big problem when I lost that but whats the problem to have patience? the most of screeming people here have no problems at the moment I think. stay cool. and the mystic countdown on the aitb page shows a going on to me. is it possible to wait in patience? this would be cool.

but yes, all copy-protections are cracked in the past and they make the most problems only for the serious customers.

It's not reasonable to go 60+ days with no contact or updates and expect everyone to just wait around like nothing's wrong.

Hi everybody,

I need to chime in to clarify some things.

At first: there is still support from Niklas and Me!!! Existing users still are getting help and authorizations, so no need for keygens! We always try to mail as fast as possible.

Existing Users also still can login to the page and download the products they've bought and authorize them!

So for all existing users of AITB, they still have access to everything they have bought and get help from us.

And, there is a big bureaucratic hurdle here in germany we're facing - and that is what is eating the time.

So, for now, we're still there ( there will be a change), we are still changing!

After the Countdown, the change should be executed!

ciao and thanks

I wasn't aware that this was the case; but this is very reassuring to me.
