I tried the demo - not sure if it was just me but there was a big volume drop...

Another awesome release for this community! I love the simplicity of this library....2 instances is all you need. Fantastic job on this Tim!

Thanks ,

Many hours of sampling went into sampling this library.
700 samples, editing and testing takes a lot longer than you may think and I only had a couple weeks to sample it. 15 hour a day sampling session's can be painful.

This set sounds really cool! Can you share what you mean by "Better transparency from new deconvolution"?

Re: NEW RELEASE! SILK EQ by Tim Petherick UPDATED 24/07/13

Postby Tim Petherick » Wed Jul 24, 2013 7:56 pm

I made a mistake on the deconvolution side of things.
It's standard the way it's deconvolved now. This now is what it should of sounded like in the first place. It's more open sounding.

I'm doing something quite unique when sampling though!

Now subtleties are far better.

Version 2 is amazing. I wasn't so sure about version 1 though it sounded good, it had a particular sound but it was not what I was used to, close but not right there. Now, this second version is an eye-opening library for me, it really says how much of the sound we get comes from the developer himself when working on NAT. Tim has skills! It sounds like a brand new unit, refurbished  When I compared it to CDSM's (which is my favorite) a few hours ago, I was shocked, no kidding. It brings out all the clarity and definition this unit has. In fact, after hearing it I realized how "choky" Michael's version sounds :o It's incredible how things can change your perspective when you hear something different.

If you have CDSM's version you'll love this! :D

Cheers
