No phase or delay issues here. I finally got a chance to try this out today on some mastering. Beautiful sounding deck! I'm *very* fond of the CCIR @ 15ips. It seems to add a nice punch and glue. Thanks for this great addition to the set, Michael. :D

I'm late on this one.
This addition is ...impressive.
The 800 in R2R never been my favorite deck but this 820 is something else!

Thanks a lot Michael.Fantastic job.

I thought I was done with tape emulations but I'll go for the Ampex as soon as I learn this one. ;)

Just been trying out the new VST update which sounds great.

One minor thing bugging me is the naming convention for the new Studer is different from the other R2R plugs so instead of it being next to the other Studer in my plugin list it is after the Otari due to "PC-VST-64-BIT" being included.

I tried a manual rename of all 3 STUA-820 files (dll, xml, N2S) but it wouldn't launch....is there any way I can edit this to match the older R2Rs.

Also very nice to see the program switching built in to the plug this time....any plans to update the older machines with this behaviour?

Grim: what DAW software do you use? I ask because I am a reaper user, and it is quite easy to rename plugins withing the fx browser.

Ah.... I now understand why you go by the name "Grim"....

Reaper is a free totally uncrippled trial, by the way. Inexpensive and awesome forum community too. I'm not a fan-boy, but I will say that Reaper and Nebula helped completely liberate my audio work. Just sayin'.....

Not a fan boy, just trying to help you accomplish something that should be simple and a default for any DAW...lol. By the way, if there was an emoticon for sticking my tongue out at you, I'd have one right here.

Furthermore....
I tried to steer you in that direction that long ago, and you are STILL battling your DAW.....?

I've used Steinberg soft since Pro-12 on the Atari and not going to change now because one plugin is slightly out of order in my list .
I shall be keeping a furtive eye on Reaper but not ready to jump into it now.

Now to get back on topic I'm sure this is fixable.... Maybe I need to edit the xml.
