has anyone made a list of the real names of sampled Hardware in common third party libraries? And would you like to share it?

There is a NebulaMan descriptions pack (kindly provided by Mercado Negro) for some 3rd party libraries available for free download at http://zabukowski.com/software/?page_id=26.

These are xml files with program descriptions (hardware names etc.). You can import these description using NebulaMan (demo version will do) - option Tools/Update descriptions.

*** Backup your existing nebula repository before importing ***

Mercado has promised some new descriptions and good news is, that maybe more medadata will find a place inside nebula programs in the future.

See this thread:

Hope it helps!

Quick chime in from me. If you check my thread I have a pdf of the emulations on the first page. As my inventory grows I will update it even though the link doesn't change. It basically tells tou what the cryptic names are equivalent to.
Hope that helps
