Alex B kind of has something like that.

El Fatso has a compressor and based on all of its different forms of harmonic content, would be rather labor extensive and a huge library.

You know what though, although it would be cool to venture into these devices, I think it would be nice to wait for the updated compressor support. Imagine the dynamism, phase and frequency response that's already there with the more perfected compression characteristics. It would truly represent what something like a Fatso can do. It's just sick 8-)

I have sampled this unit last year and then I have sold it since I don't like it... However I had thought to do a library with DTE and Fah-Tzu ( ) as preamp to color and add harmonics but... Time is my enemy
Mix with the ears, not with the eyes...

Hi Alex,
Your sampling of your original hardware sounds nicer than the Fatso!

Thank you Michael, I think that if I need tape color and harmonic saturation, R2R is the best you can found, and much better than any Fatso, hardware or plugin ;)
Fatso is an emulation and it sounds quite arsh to my ears...

I understand all of you.
but what I am really courious about is the change possibilities.
usually compressors have 4-5-6 parameters absolutely basic way.
but I would love to see how much difference can be recognize by changing the usually compressor function together with the saturation part.
I believe this preset would be a pain in the ass because its more complicated.I am not really wanted to go for using as preamp I wondering to see this balances between compress and the coloring combination in the same time.
