The electronic components have some tolerances, so every console channel and buss stage will play in different way one from the other. This is what it happens in a console or in the multichannel preamps, stereo EQs and so.
With this PRO console we have more "analog" feeling and glue with different sound on different tracks and groups.
Yes, they are subtle differences but their sum will make the great sound.
To my ears they are not so subtle 8-)

Alex, I know you're busy with all the releases but are there any plans to make the new presets compatible with Neb2? I have been using the MKII with it with no problems. Thanks!

Nebula2 needs to be compatible with the library, not the contrary

Okay, maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I reinstalled Nebula3 Pro (using Upgrade...exe to make sure I have the "current" version), everything else is working (all 3rd party libraries including CLC and MWC) but with the MBC Pro I just get Init program. Haven't tried every single new MBC program, but several at least.

ETA: I did indeed take your advice and installed using Run as Administrator.

Please read the manual and use the email address in the instruction for the support. Thank you.

Sure enough, I missed the section called "Authorize the software".

Just so that others don't do the same thing, you have to zip and email a file (generated on first run with one of the programs) to the email address in the new manual. Full details being in the aforementioned manual under the "Authorize the software" section.

Well just a very quick test says that they are indeed somewhat different; I guess subtlety of the difference is a somewhat subjective judgment that probably varies widely in connotation and listening equipment.

Of the line inputs 1-4 were closer to each other than 5 and 6 (which were respectively close to each other and a bit different than 1-4).

The buss groups 1 and 2 were incredibly similar. A drum buss track run through 1 and 2 nulled to about -50.

It's definitely a lot of new stuff to play with! Definitely eager to get them into a real mix and listen.

I like to use the Input DI for the bass and if I want more punch on kick drum. Some channels work better with SynthPad (IL6) and some with Snare or Electric GTR (IL1-IL3) but it's a matter of taste. For drum buss the BG3 give a little more punch and body. Subtle differences but in the mix can make the... Difference

Note that we have a great advantage in the digital world: we can try and listen the same track (duplicated) with some input channels making A/B/C... test to choose the best for us. In the real world with a console this is a little... Hard and complicated 8-)

Enjoy !
