it will save ram LATER but it will do, even without using the server component. The same for cpu cycles. The same for cuda when purecuda will be released for nebula. You could upgrade your acqua plugins just replacing the acqua dll with the latest one hosted on our forum. Just backup the working one before

You can not update Aqua Engine by yourself, Aqua Engine is Nebula engine in an A*I, you should wait to CDSM receive the new Aqua Engine from Acustica Audio and then CDSM should release a update version of their Aqua FXs products. Consider to Aqua Engine like a development kit only for 3rd developers.
