Every console is being upgraded to "Pro". All customers get the upgrades on the ones you've purchased for free.

MBC is the first one to get the "Pro" enhancements. All the rest will follow (the process takes awhile - releases will happen slowly and one at a time) over the next few weeks.

You are right. The Black Master eQ PRO (modern API5500) will coming...Customers with BMQ will can upgrade for free to BMQ-PRO.

Can't wait! :D Alexb, if there would be any possibility (I know it takes time but...) preparing a few fixed presets for this eq (like for mastering or mix buss) would be super nice, I really like the color of that eq so the more the merry

PRO release.

If ya can make ANY sense of my confusion ... please

Alex didn't release a 550 before so yes this a new one.

Alex, can you tell me more on this rate conversion for the MBC PRO?

I can load MBC programs, but all the time there is a arrow blinking next to the 96000 sample rate. I tried lowering the value of RATE CNV to 3200 (as you suggested), but its still there.

Either way, my DAW freezes after a few minutes.

I tried with my ASIO set to 96000, and the arrow is gone. But DAW still froze after a few minutes of work.

My setup:

i7 920 3,4GHZ
9GB DDR3
ASUS p6T
Projectmix i/o (clocked by Rosetta 200 via WC)
W7 Cubase 5 x86

There was a revision of MBCPro for people having problems in Win7/Vista...it was in another MBCPro thread but if you go to the customer area of Alex site & download again you will get it (you'll need to delete/overwrite old versions & re-authorise)

Just reading your setup, you must also be overclocking from 2.66, 2.93 or 3.06 to your stated 3.4. Not sure this is a great mix with a DAW.

I bought and downloaded it 2 days ago.

And about overclocking, its been stable until now, I tested it with large projects. I have this rig for about 7 months and no issues of that kind (freeze).
Although, Projectmix drivers are only BETa, we are waiting for the proper W7 release for almost a year now.
They announce it from month to month.

That could also be a problem here.

And about CNV - I figured it out. I was editing the xml file and wrote 3200 there. So, it was 3.2ms in the MAST. :D

When I switched to 3200 in the MAST page, everything loaded without problem, 96000-44100, but it still froze after a couple of minutes (it took much longer, though).
