Wow. This is absolutely no competition to the Cooltec. This one here delivers very different results, way more solid, creamy, transparent, MUCH better as master EQ. The Cooltec on the other side has more density, it thickens the signal so it basically doesn't need anything else, but the Cooltec isn't transparent or HiFi at all - instead it has a ton of attitude which you may like or not.
So, basically, no way around getting both Are they really programs of the same Pultec Model ?

They are different units, the COOLTEC is the Pultec EQP-1A3S with solid state A*I amplifier while PoolTeQ are the Pultecs EQP-1A with tube state amplifier. In these units I have replaced the tubes with the holy grail NOS Telefunken ECC803, very rare and expensive tubes but damn good linear sounding.
I'm surely will buying this library soon, as most of Alex's libs. But I was just wondering how this one performs on a vocal track; the cdsoundmaster-pultec, which is solid state, is very upfront, when you run vocals through it. I assume that this one is more transparent, and more passive sounding. Would be great to have 2 different types of Pultecs in my arsenal. How does it sound?
