Converting commercial library

Postby dpclarkson » Sun Jul 18, 2010 11:44 am

I'm trying to convert the entire commercial library to 48KHz in NAT,
that I downloaded from this website, but somehow, I only get files
with a size of 55 bytes each, after conversion.

Is there a setting that I overlooked, or is conversion of the commercial library simply not possible in NAT?
I want to have it permanent at 48KHz, because of the long loading time,
when the plugin has to convert the sampling-rate itself.

i tried once in nat from 96 > 44.1 and something went wrong as well. can't remember what, but it wasn't what you had.

if any of the developers could describe *exactly* how to do it, with which version of nat they used, and confirmed it all sounded perfect with that library it would be a real help :)

Hello dpclarkson. We already detect some issues into NAT SRC. Can you redo it 10 by 10 emulation preset instead all together? And post here which one are not converted correctly.

I'm on it right now, I'll post back with the '10 by 10'-results.

Cheers, David.

Ok, so far no luck;
I've tried converting the commercial library with the latest
NAT, '10 by 10', and also gave me 55byte N2V's.
Also tried converting single commercial programs, but no go...
Almost all 3rd party libraries convert fine to 48KHz, with
a few exceptions (the filters from cdsoundmaster's N-TEN-AT4
gives errors and do not convert).

Is there an older version of NAT, which converts all of these
libraries succesfully?
Or should I stick to the latest version?

All help is appreciated!

Regards, David

I think it's not possible to convert the commercial library at the moment. Only free and 3rd party presets could be converted. We'll add this feature in the future.

Ok, I'll just sit tight until the feature is implemented
for the commercial libraries.
However, if there's anyone who owns the 'ten-at4'
library from cdsoundmaster, and has succesfully
converted the cut-filters to 48khz, please let me know.

Thanks, David

I have converted Alexb's VMQ st to 48Khz and it came out 7dB quieter. How come?

I also had this issue when converting R2R to 48KHz, I just
adjusted the input and output pad again in the GLOB page.
@highvoltage, does Alexb's libraries convert ok, without fatal errors?
I'm very interested in buying almost all of his libraries, if they can be converted in NAT to 48 KHz properly.
His demos seem to convert ok without issues.

EDIT: Just purchased the CLC & CLEQ, and they all convert fine to 48Khz,
but also with a volume drop of 7dB, but that's ok...
