Correspondance sheet

Postby _ben » Wed Apr 22, 2015 7:39 am

I would like to know if there is somewhere a .pdf file or something else with all correspondances between Nebula's names and real name of gears?

Keep in mind that the info out there is someone's guess-work, Acustica can not officially emulate any particular brand of any gear. They make amazing software presets that are loosely inspired by things and as a result have created great competitors to things, not emulations.

From the first linked site:
"This database is unofficial and is not linked to Acustica Audio or any 3rd party program developer. The ‘based on’ category is an educated guess and is provided for entertainment purposes only."

no, it is not linked to acustica: we even don't say what was sampled to our betas!!! it is a guess from other people. We started around 10 years ago, and very few times I found real gear names even on our forum - we try to fix it when it happens.
Other important disclaimer: 3rd party developers are not affiliated with us, or regulated by contracts. If they use brand names they are responsible for that
On our website we even have an automatic rule for censoring brand names,
but obviously if someone writes "masselec" it will not work

I must add that none of the 'educated guesswork' is just me making a wild guess. The info is either from:

1. The creator publishing it officially on their site with the full original hardware name.
2. The creator publishing it on their site with an almost full hardware name but missing a letter from the hardware manufacturer or some 100% obvious little change. Still as accurate as No. 1.
3. The creator emailing me directly and telling me.
4. Straight from this forum where someone gives the game away and the creator by their reply implies it is correct.

All answers are peer reviewed. Often people email me corrections and they are researched then updated if needed.

So to sum up, to my knowledge all answers on The Nebula Program Explorer are 100% correct! NONE were supplied to me by Acustica Audio. It took me years to make the database! :)

yes exactly: I even never checked it, and maybe the list is correct. It is a "guess". Anyway we (acustica) never provided answers for the exception of an ancient ksg tool to anyone.
