lol, its early for me I'm still sleepy! :)

But yes, you do learn it and its done. But for noobs it is strange behaviour and adds to the confusion of using Nebula for the first time.

I guess that's what the manual is for though?!

it is kind of confusing at first but it also kind of makes sense. if it were the other way, and it said 'stereo' when it was in stereo mode, then 'noobs' would wonder how to go into mono, thinking the 'stereo' was just an indicator. the best would probably be some kind of switch that shows both words but points to whichever is on, but that would be a pretty serious gui overhaul i'd guess.

it's not THAT confusing as it is...

If your see STEREO, Nebula is in Stereo mode. If you see MOMO-L, Nebula process L signal with L kernels and R signal with L kernels.

So, Stereo/Mono-L button convention is opposite of all other buttons convention? :? Now I'm REALLY confused!
Cupwise, you say the opposite? AAAAAAAHHHHHHH!

I totally agree with this.
Nebula, with it's novel technology and wealth of excellent libraries, is a very special plugin. But the interface is confusing and clunky. I think a re-design would breathe some new life into Nebula and maybe open more peoples eyes.

Things like the normal/econo confusion are indicative of a programmer mentality, rather than a designer/user mentality.. believe me, I know, I work in the games industry and this happens to our in-house tools all the time. I love programmers .. but they are unusual beings ;)

Is it the clearest UI design ever? No, it's not.

Is it worth spending precious development cycles to change? I'm not convinced. It's easily enough explained regardless of whether or not it's counterintuitive in and of itself.

With such a tiny development base, Nebula development is a zero sum game: spending development cycles on one thing inherently means not spending them on other things. So it's worth being choosey when it comes to feature requests.

Relax :D

this statement from enrique is wrong!!!

to make it short: you get what you press (mouse-click).

as you mentioned, this is the convention for all other buttons too.
