Nebula 3 Pro ver. 1.3.502 in H******* Mixbus

Postby aleksi3000 » Sun Apr 08, 2012 10:02 pm

Hi!

I might be the only one using Nebula in H******* Mixbus.? I have a big problem with it, when I load an VNXT reverb to Nebula and push play the audio slow's down and start some kind of a clicking noise. I don't know why? When I tried the same thing for first time after installing NEBULA it worked, but after that when I start my DAW the plugin is useless. With MAMMOTH EQ id does the opposite, it's like fast forwarding while trying to just push play..?

On the other hand the same AU-plugin works like a charm in REAPER, so maybe it's time to make a change to my workflow.. :D

Same here.
Mixbus is very good but it's quite bugged.
I use Logic Pro, Mixbus 2, Reaper, Wave Editor (Neither this likes Nebula) and Nebulaman.
If you want great quality from Nebula (look at Transient Loss topic) I suggest you to use only Nebulaman.
Yeah, I had to change my workflow too...
It's much more slow, but things are better now.
Good luck

Nebula in Reaper works nearly completely bug free for me. Just sayin'......

I wish that was true for my setup with Reaper.
Updated to the latest WIN version to see if this improves.

If you are on a Mac. Try Digital Performer 7 (DP8 is coming soon and it will be windows compatible).
DP7 and Nebula 3 Pro right now are heaven for me. Very stable, very accurate (with latency compensation) and it takes the whole advantage of using multiple processors!!! (so you could load several instances :))
Of course DP7 is not as cheap as Reaper but it's a very powerful DAW.
My two cents.

Really? That surprises me. i am not a fan-boy, I just have very very few problems. What is happening with your set-up?

Confirming H******* OSX and Neb are not friendly on my rig as well.
I'm reduced to using H******* for summing only. It does that incredibly well. Worth $149 for a giant plugin.

I'm still using Logic "bounce to track" to render out neb treatments.
I do not get dropouts very often.. (I suspect I should, compared to some of you guys my rig is quite underpowered).

I cannot get Nebulaman to NOT crash on my rig, as much as I would love to use this. Peak is another viable option for rendering but it's crazy expensive for an audio editor.

+1 for Motu Digital Performer. (It's on my list)
For audio is great
Never tried Peak.
H******* for summing only here too
About Logic, by chance, it seems to me that using often 'Consolidate'
command can help. (File-Project-Consolidate)
Maybe I'm wrong but I've had much less troubles

OK guys. I'll ask H******* Consoles for NFR licenses exchange for bug hunting.
