Building a New System, Which is The 2 Best Cuda Video Cards

Postby KP2009 » Tue Oct 05, 2010 10:58 pm

Hello Acustica Family.. We are Finally Breaking down.. I want to Mix Everything With Nebula, I want to use as Many Plugins as possible..(In Other words no Limitations.. Like I have been Having Lol)

My Question is what is the True Tested Video Cards with CUDA that you would suggest we Purchase for Our system... Could U Give your 2 TOP Choices Please...

Suggestion of Motherboard and Processor would be good as well so We know everything works together.

Our Budget is $1000-$2000 for a Great System with Cuda PC Please, we will build it!!

We also Use a Uad-1 Card and Plan to Pick up a Uad-2 Card.

Thank You Soo Much for Any Guidance you All can Give!

God Bless

Hi my friend, welcome to the family...
I did the same thing,I kick the bucket of water...hahahaha
Rode a server,a corei7950 and a graphics card GtX 260...
the cuda is not my favorite.
work with nebula in protoolsLE and cuda is still a bit complex for him.
I advise you to use a corei7950(with 4 cores and 4 more virtual), or core i7970( with 6 cores and more than 6 virtual).
gts260 a video is good for cuda, Plus if the budget allows,a gtx260 is very good,do not expect much more from cuda, the processor of your PC, is your biggest asset.
I use intel motherboard, I commend them for better compatibility.
I use a DX58SO Extreme Series , is good and cheap.
nebula is no avatar by james camerom, just keep good stability and good processing,8 gigabytes memory is good, I use memory ,kingstone never had problems with kingstone.
I always worried about quality and reasonable price,After all money does not grow on trees.
I use my Core2Duo to run protools and corei7 to run nebulalocalserver,I am 100% satisfied.
Giacarlo is a Santa Claus, with this divine gift.
Run many nebulas and have not used, 60% of my pc, in projects in 48 channels.
Thanks and a big hug my friend. ;)

cuda code will be optimized a lot during 2011. At the moment it's useful for long tailed reverbs and long tailed equalizers only.
