a little upgrade help please?

Postby gjm123 » Thu Mar 01, 2012 7:52 pm

Hi
Ive come back to Nebula, now I have a system able to run it properly, but I cant seem to upgrade to the latest Mac version. Ive downloaded the 1.3.502 upgrade a couple of times, but it just creates a file that can only be opened by the terminal on my mac (which I know nothing about!), no normal installer, no program, nothing but this terminal file. Im guessing this isnt right? Its prob something ive done wrong but could do with knowing what to do.
Thanks
Greg

Greg did you have a properly installed version first? In other words you didn't just run the 'upgrade' version cold, correct?

No mate, I've got a full working version already on my Mac, it just doesn't work as well as I imagine the latest version would, hence the attempted upgrade but like I said I download the latest version and only get that terminal file, it's suppose to be an installer yeh? or is it a program I just replace the old one with, either way I get nothing usable.

I wish I could be of more help on the MAC side. On the PC side yes it is an installer however.

I think the problem is that the file has an extension ".zip_".

Delete underscore (the last character) in the name of the downloaded file - then it will unzip on doubleclick.

Hope it helps!

i had the same thing a while ago and it is definitely the wrong file-extension, took me a while to spot the problem.

then you get an installer for mac osx like in windows.

system 1: windows 8 32 bit - samplitude prox, tracktion6, reaper
system 2: mac osx yosemite - reaper(32+64bit), tracktion6(32+64bit)

both systems on: macbook pro (late 2009), core 2 duo 3,06 ghz, 4 gb ram, graphic: nvidia geforce 9600M GT 512 MB
