Multichannel Wavs and Nebula

Postby lordnielson » Mon Sep 06, 2010 3:29 pm

I was trying to Batch process an 11 channel wav with Nebula but was told that it will only do stereo files.

Question: Is there a setting in Nebula (mast page etc.) that will make it work with multichannel wavs ?

Thanks
Peter

Hmm, it appears that most plugins only do stereo files actually. Oh well. :|

Do it in Reaper. 11 instances of Nebula as an FX chain. Set track to 12 channels.
Now modify the plugin routings:
1st instance: In 1 to In L, no input to In R, Out L to Out 1.
2nd instance: In 2 to In L, no input to In R, Out L to Out 2.
etc. etc.

Now render track to stem track, see if the resulting file is actually 12-channel (12th channel remains empty for obvious reasons ;-) )
If that doesn't work, do a normal bounce to 12-channel-Wav-file - should do the trick in any case.

Wov Fuse that's actually some really clever stuff, but unfortunately the files need to retain their original format (11 channels mixed mono/stereo) as they are BFD files.

Thanks anyway. ;)

But damnit Fuseburn, Reapers batch converter does it without any fuss at all!! It just processes the file like a stereo file and then spits it back out in the original format.

Sexy stuff. Thanks for the heads up man.
