Nebula load times: Faster with a Solid State Drive (SSD)?

Postby jonwb » Thu Feb 02, 2012 7:32 pm

I bought a console library and now I'm using about 30 instances of Nebula3 Pro. I'm wondering if anyone using an SSD drive could offer information on improved Nebula load times over their previous conventional drive?

Thanks

I'm interested to get users feedback about that too. (not "on the paper" feedback).

Out of loading time did you Nebulites saw any other significant advantages to SSD ? And do you use them for your OS or for your libraries ?

I use a ssd and it improved the loading time a lot. Another PC didn't benefit at all, i couldn't figure out why. I use my sad only for nebula programs.

Thanks... yeah I would have to use the SSD as a Windows 7 OS drive and place the Nebula files on it. Not the best of circumstances but maybe better than what I have now.

I just got a whole new system with an extremly fast SSD, not your typical 600MB read and write speed, this goes 1.5GB write 1.6GB read and it loads up very quick
