Where are the included Pro libraries?

Postby akb44 » Sat Aug 07, 2010 4:21 am

Hey,

I just downloaded Nebula 3 Pro. However, I only have the "Init" patch available. I understand I need to download the included libraries, but where do I find them? Under the "shop" page for Nebula Libraries, I cannot see anything. Are they included in the updates? I have only downloaded the setup installer, and not the updates; should I install the updates as well before attempting to install libraries?

Also, should I download update 1.3.412 or 1.3.413? Is one more stable than the other?

Thanks for all help in advance!

Hi,

Libraries are located in your User Area

Look at the top right corner of this page, you'll see a link to your user area, place your mouse over it and click on My Details. Once you're in, place your mouse again over User Area and click on My Libraries. There you are :)

Thanks! Are these all of the included Acustica libraries, or are there others?

No, there aren't others, that's all the commercial library.

There's a thread where enriquesilveti put all free programs from 3rd party developers... let me see if I can find it.

Are the Acustica ones on the page you just posted and the ones in the "My Downloads" section identical? (haven't had time to download them yet, and trying to avoid repeats).

In your User Area you'll find Nebula's Official Library (a.k.a Commercial Library).

In the link I posted above you'll find all free programs made by 3rd party developers (most of them are demos of their full versions).

No, they are not the same.

The Commercial Library is part of your Nebula 3 PRO purchase while 3rd party developers libraries are sold separately.

Let's see an example, AlexB is a 3rd party developer. In the link above you'll find demos of some libraries he sells for Nebula.

If you're interested in libraries by 3rd party developers, look at the top bar in this page: Company. There you will find a list of them.

The first two listed are "FreeAANebula3FreePrograms" and "FreeAANebula3ProFreePrograms" - are these just stripped down versions of what's in the commercial library?

I just downloaded Nebula 3 Pro. However, I only have the "Init" patch available. I understand I need to download the included libraries, but where do I find them? Under the "shop" page for Nebula Libraries, I cannot see anything.

Hello akb44/Khaos. CPCL version 3, Cross Platform Commercial Library version number 3, is available here: User Area > My Details > User Area > My Libraries. This library is bundle with Nebula2/3 and Nebula3 PRO, and is x86, x64, and MAC OSX compatible.

Are they included in the updates? I have only downloaded the setup installer, and not the updates; should I install the updates as well before attempting to install libraries?

About the updates you will find it here: User Area > My Details > User Area > My Downloads. You should install a setup, then send your generated .SER file in order to recieve your personal KEY. Update will update Nebula .DLLs but will not erase your personal KEY. We always keep a setup version and update version of all products.

Last version or last update is important for get best CPU/GPU performance and keep compatibility with lasted 3rd party developers libraries releases.

I suggest you:
1. Install Nebula setup
2. Download and install only one library
3. Test Nebula in your sequencer
4. Send your .SER file
5. Install your personal KEY
6. Download and install all other libraries from Acustica Audio
7. Download and install update
8. Download and install all other free/demo libraries from
3rd party developers
9. Buy a 3rd party library if you feel that you need it

Also, should I download update 1.3.412 or 1.3.413? Is one more stable than the other?

Version 1.3.412 is a setup and version 1.3.413 is and update, you must install a setup version first.

How do I change the skins? I've tried using the method on the NebulaWiki, using skins downloaded from "My Libraries" (specifically SK Vintage and SK Good), but neither of them have worked.

Two other questions. First, are all included Acustica Nebula libraries intended to be used at -18dbFS?
Second, the GUI seems sluggish - it takes a little bit of time (maybe 1/2 of a second) to switch screens and programs (though audio latency appears fine). Is this expected?
