On my 10.8.5 I get up to 15/20 Nebula session in 32 Lives, without freezing any, and in very complex projects with loads of audio tracks and other plugins (24bit, 96kHz).

I have an i7 8 core 2.3gHz with 16gb of RAM and SSD, nothing special..don't know what to suggest to improve performance.

I'll get a try to this BlueCat but for my work flow I think I still like the transparent integration of 32 Lives instead of having a plugin loading another plugin and adding another layer of patches.

I drop in every few months to see if the OSX 64 bit Pro is out yet? Any developments? Or should I finally just give up the ghost entirely?

Hi grame, there are I think big plans and changes for next version of Nebula, and those will allow as well to have the native 64bit.

If you search in previous posts anyway there are at least two solutions: one is the one I suggested but needs a bit of technical knowledge, the other one is 32 Lives (from Sound Radix) that will allow you to use any AU 32bit (including Nebula Pro) as AU 64bit, without any visible bridge.

While waiting you can try it yourself to see if that works for you :)

gege, I have a 2008 mac pro 2.8 8core with logic prox. I get no where near those kind of counts with nebula and 32 lives. Much less than 10.6.8 and logic9. Especially if I insert one on the 2bus or an aux send. I get big spikes on the 2nd to last thread. I loaded 32 tracks in reaper and got to 20 instances before glitches with no other plugs running. I upgraded to Mavericks as I read it stopped the spiking cpu but to no avail. For now I will have to use freezing or bouncing still. Its a logic thread balancing issue as far as I can tell. Might run better on a newer I7. Is that a MacBook Pro?

Strange thing is I get more instances of plugs when running lower buffers (64 vs 512 or 1024) and small buffer setting vs medium or large. I wonder if 96k projects run more efficiently in prox? I have always done everything at 24/44.

I honestly have no idea..sounds very strange.

Yes it's an i7 macbook pro and I don't get any spike, usually working 24/44 but also 24/96 (with SSD does not make much difference).

1.3.608 server is working well inserting the 64vst into metaplug. Didn't get it to wrap via jbridge and the x64 audio unit not showing up in Logic prox plugin manager. What is the best way to use this release? Is there a way to validate the x64 in prox? or another way to wrap the VST?

And happy thanksgiving! I am thankful for your hard work!

just came for an update on 64bit AU...its been a while...almost two years since the start of this thread...

32 Lives seems like a good solution if you wish to spend $70...with Nebula 32 AU in 32 Lives - do you have RAM limitation as per 32 bit architecture?

Any feedback on Bluecat Patchwork? Might be more generally useful to me than 32 Lives...

32 bits apps = 4 GB RAM limitation
BC PW is in bug hunting they will release 1.10 soon.

I am using metaplug with the 64xVST version in prox and it works very well and better than with 32lives. not as clean looking but it is much lighter on the system. And in metaplug I can create cool routing matrixes with several nebula's and other plugs and m/s. And it will save a combo of nebula's as one preset. like a CDC counsel to Henro O mojo in front of a CLA76 followed by a slat vcc and then R2R and booster. Create one for bass guitars etc.. save it as a preset. I like the work flow now that I am used to it.

you have to upgrade to Server to get the 64 bit VST?
