will a better gpu-cuda give me more headroom?

Postby hollo321 » Sun Dec 25, 2011 2:23 am

hi i just read about this cuda that it can utilize processing power for nebula. How does this work exactly? like does it split up the load between the cpu and the gpu? or just runs on the gpu?
i have a pretty outdated video card so would i be able to load more instances of nebula if i got a newer card with more cuda cores?
thnks

i did, wasnt too detailed so i ask here. Also i read that using it good for reverbs. I dont use reverbs in nebula, would it be benificial for other things-eq's, r2r, console emu's...would increasing from a hundred cuda core to a 400 cuda core graphics card give significant more headroom for loading these kind of non reverb devices ? i ask because i find myself reaching the limit very often and if this does indeed make a difference and give me much more headroom to load more instances than would b a life saver,
thnks

Fast convolution engine only works into CUDA you can only load EQs with same kernel lenght. At this time vectorial engine is loaded into RAM and still use CPU resources.
