That was 37j skins by Tim but i seem to be the only one ...

- I had audio drops in Reaper , Skin changed by itself and no issue anymore ...

- I don't know if latest Reaper works totally fine because i'm on Reaper for only 6 months and i wouldn't say that i'm a power user yet !

Question. Two things.

1. RAM usage
2. CPU load

Are you finding any difference between the 'stock' skin compared with the custom skin ?

Yes and any addon in any application, especially in Windows due DPI Scaling, and MS clear text optimization.

thanks, i actually think i will fully uninstall Reaper completely(absolutely everything)
and use it in default mode

i cant remember i had any easely crackles in audio with master processing before and group buses where i sent lots of instruments
it should really not happen on a 5820k when it didn't even happen on my mac mini i7 on windows 8.1 64 boot camp on reaper 64
i didn't even alter background services in ms config back then and it worked perfect

i have a hard time thinking it was win 8.1 that performed better than windows 7 hehe

and i had way more plugins and vst instruments too + a slow 5400rpm hdd where i runned everything from including vst instruments
now i have faster and twice the ram i had before too haha
i also have ssd for my system now and ssd for running vst instruments and even a dedicated 7200 rmp hdd to run my audio projects from and i still have crackles if i don't turn off background services

the default reaper skin newer bothered me anyway
it looks pretty good to me when i have altered the layout in the mixer to my liking :)

I,ve been though crackle nightmares once or twice most were due to graphic drivers needing updates or graphic card just being too old,

there was also a tweak in reaper one time too, I'll have a look in preferences to see what it was

If you use internet like myself on your daw disabling your internet card in device manager will give a great improvement

Btw I'm on win10 since it came out, optimised by following some guy on YouTube
