SRC Flash

Postby markgalup » Sat May 28, 2016 11:25 am

Hi all,

No matter if I set my RATECNV to maximum or not, I always get the SRC flash on loading my Nebula Setups, and have to reload every instance of Nebula which is a drag. Does everyone experience this or do I need to change something? This is with all of my third party libs and in both Pro Tools 11 and 12, and also Reaper for mac. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
MG

When you set RATECNV, did you click SAVE ?

Then re-load Nebula and the Preset.

Yep, hit save and reload and verify that the change stuck. Then remove plugin and add the same one, and it flashes, with the RATE CNV on master page still at 9000 until I hit reload or select a different preset.

Maybe try closing/reopening the DAW after saving

The way we use to do this ....

Go to your Acustica folder on hard drive and locate the Nebula3 Reverb.XML file.

Open that file with NOTEPAD [or any text editor].

Scroll down near the bottom, and look for:
<RATECONVERSION> 4500000 </RATECONVERSION>

edit the number [carefully]. maybe 6000000 or 9000000.

SAVE file [keep XML extension].

Thanks, RJHollins, I will try this for sure. To clarify, will this affect all of my nebula setups as well? I am thinking this is a "global tweak", correct?

And thanks, botus99 - I believe I tried that but will verify.

Nope. It will only affect whichever XML you edit. For instance, if you edit your Nebula3Reverb.xml, it will only change that specific instance (not any of your setups). BUT from then on, with any setups created BASED on your Nebula3Reverb, those will have whatever edits you made.

I feel like I explained that terribly, hopefully you can decipher that hahaha

:)) makes perfect sense! I guess I will manually tweak my 100+ setups :| lol. One more question: would I use a Global or Local tweak in each setup?

you only need to 'adjust' for the ones that flash.

If you change your 'master Nebula', if you use NebulaSetUps, all new creations will use that template.

Got it, thanks RJHollins! I will do local tweaks to all of my setups and update this thread with my findings!
