If there was a grace period stablished by AA team I would buy it right now. But if date release isn't even sure I prefer to wait.

Support confirmed that there will be no grace period but an upgrade path. Anyway I took now Nebula 3 last week and will work with it and see if the upgrade path is reliable or not. N3 will also work when N4 is released (whenever this will be).

I'm from a town near Barcelona, and I tell you truly will end before the Sagrada Familia. Je,je,je.

It is to have a sense of humor with this expectation . as would have been more normal not to announce it until it was finished, so people do not get impatient and do not bother , it is my opinion and I think a good business decision as if they are not clear periods.
But it is clear which are now priorities AA

I think there will be a presale for christmas
First version will feature several simple improvements compared with nebula 3, we'll disclose the other features just later (many of them are already working but they need to be checked and debugged)
First version will feature a skinned commercial library, a new preset browser, automatic rate conversion and a first example of soft-nebula4 library (maybe a compressor)
We'll support acqua plugins and complex nebula 4 libraries around February
The client/server architecture will be seriously improved around June.
There well be a parallel development, we have a developer completely dedicated to nebula, so there will be a lot of upgrades

Very important: nebula 4 will be x64 only, vstgui4 only.
We'll not support legacy systems, this is the right time for deprecating old architectures. We'll support vst64, vst3 x64, au64, aax64 only

vst64, vst3 x64, au64, aax64 is the way to go

"First version will feature a skinned commercial library"
what does that mean ?
a lib from a 3rd pary developer that is skinned and works almost like an Acqua ?

will N4 have a upgrade path from N3 ? some are saying yes to this, but last time i checked it was only a small discount for N3 owners ?
i really would like some clarity on tis topic Giancarlo

any price ETA on N4 without owning N3
and any price ETA for those who owns N3 server ?

some of this questions cant be to unclear for Acustica by now
N4 was scheduled as a late November release after all
its not a complaint that the release was moved to December though

In our first release we'll skin the commercial library and we'll add a bit of value with several new presets (2 new ones but with a decent value)
Basically you'll access the new engine and the new architecture.
The bigger innovation is about the browser (it is the most important thing when you work with nebula). It is everything about the workflow

We'll post about prices and upgrade policy. If there are no big issues we should release it for christmas, as soon as we are sure about it we'll post prices
