Milage may vary but I find it remarkably improved. I can actually return to using during live mixing. Also, audio suite is included. Fun and dangerous addition.

Thank you for your answer. In cubase i can open 30 nebula instances with out a problem, but in pro tools i cant open even 15 without pro tools telling cpu overload, though im not using even 40% of my cpu. This is really anoying. Im on mac osx 10.9

You think this nebula server aax core7 thing may help here?

Thanks again

Hi malekmusic,

I am sure the aax core7 will help you. I don't know your system specs nor PT version, but if you have v12 and have the disk cache cranked, it will eat your RAM, and Nebula will too. So there will be quite a competition for system resources potentially leading to a potential freeze (even though it tells you it's a CPU issue) especially if you have a full drive, record to the system disk, disk cache cranked, and limited ram and other programs running in the background.

Functionality question here:

Ever since upgrading to Server from Pro, the knob behavior in the console skins (or anything with knobs instead of sliders) is no longer linear. It now points the dial wherever my mouse is (rotary-style) and I would like to change it back to linear so my pre-programmed brain can still work.

How do I do this?

Thanks. Does it matter where the tag is added in the XML file?

Also, I'm assuming that:
<KNOBCONTROL> 1 </KNOBCONTROL> = "circular" mode
<KNOBCONTROL> 0 </KNOBCONTROL> = "linear" mode

Is that correct?

don't think position matters OTHERTHAN being placed within the <MASTER>

I tend to place XML 'mods' near the end, but ABOVE the MIDI declarations. that's just me :|

0 or 1 ... hmm ... I forget.

post back with the answer

I guess Linear knob mode is set by the 'KNOBCONTROL' parameter set to '2' in the .xml,

At least this is how my .xml looks like, after reading something i can't remember...

I'll try '0' to see what happens... probably I was wrong
[Edit: '0' and '2' apparently behaving the same linear mode]

I think it is a BOOLEAN value [switch].

True/False or 1/0
