Moving to OSX PT11 for a mix

Postby fr3udes » Tue May 05, 2015 10:23 am

Hello,

I'd like to install nebula in the mix studio i'm gonna work today and tomorrow. But it is OSX, probably PT11.

I have Nebula server.

- do i use VSTGUI3 or VSTGUI4 ?
- do i copy my ser file from my windows pc to the mac ? or do i have to do something special ?
- i'll buy Blue Cat PW. Is there something you could tell me to gain time ?
- is there any caveats i should see coming ?

Thanks a lot !

VSTGUI3 = Legacy OS.
PT 11 = AAX.
Move authorizations between computers will not work.

PS: You need a AAX to VST adapter plug-in.

Ok, so Blue Cat PW will do for the adapter ?
If i cannot move my SER file, can i authorize the mac ? And can i de-authorize it tomorrow ?

Yes PW do VST to AAX.

You can do it but will not work. Nebula3.SER file print your current computer ID based on your hardware and OS.

You should install Nebula and authorize it like a new computer with a new Nebula3.SER and INITs files in order to complete unlock Nebula.
