You can upgrade any Acqua plugin by making copies of a new Acqua dll and using them (renamed) to replace your existing Acqua dll's.... But make back-ups ALWAYS before you do this with older plugins since if you don't and the change "breaks them", you are screwed..... Michael has said on this forum before that there is rarely a good reason to upgrade the CDSM dll's. I have updated them before but have rarely noticed any improvements (They are perfect as-is). Besides, there have been some CDSM Acqua's that actually "broke" with the dll change. Just leave them alone, they are awesome as-is. Any dll "upgrades" that Acustica has made pertains more to the new plugins that they are developing, not to any feature CDSM has implemented. The new dll will not change the sound quality or usage efficiency.
Hi Pete, Long time no see! It is good to see you here. I hope that you are doing well and look forward to hearing from you. OSX, 64 Bit, AU... Yes you can try to do an update by dl'ing anything that uses the latest version from Acustica and rename- not advised but you are already having issues- jbridge is much nicer on other setups and 32 bit compat. gets more challenging with every Mac change.
If there is a 64 bit Mac install of a free demo from acustica (any acustica acqua demo mac 64 bit- if exists) then it will contain whatever system files needed, and as mentioned- not dll but the folder for either au or '.vst' folder.
I don't know if I can help directly for you with this but glad to try- and hope to catch up anyway!
For those who do not know, Pete's music is truly excellent!
God Bless You, Michael
