VU meters movements with skin are very slow and useless

Postby pleplo » Sun Dec 07, 2014 5:57 pm

Hello it's been a long time it was doing this and I tought it was normal. but I just saw someone posted a Nebula demo video on youtube with the same skin as me and his VU Meter display seems more fluid and less static than me.

I attached a video capture of my nebula instance so you can see the problem.

Please help. I can send you the XML file if needed. I use latest nebula. it does that to all my skins and its not useful to see input and output clearly.

And this is the youtube video of the same thing (I also work in Studio One). and made me realize I had a problem with my vu meter not moving quickly enought.

- Interesting! I just checked all my Nebula setups and my main Nebula Reverb - all are 30,0 ms. Is 17 ms a reccommended setting or just something you have found by trying different settings?

mine was at 80ms. I see the minimum can be to 5ms. I wonder why we would not go to the fastest? is it affecting something like CPU usage? got to make some tests. acustica might help us on this. I sent a support ticket anyway

I was dancing barefeet all over in the woods, it was full moon and the Nebula god spoke to me: "17ms it is!"

No, around 15-20ms seems to work fine ;-)

we'll implement soon a better envelope follower featuring overshoot.
It is planned for a product named aquamarine
Obviously the tech will be available in nebula immediatly later
