And anytime you are updating or upgrading, ALWAYS make a back-up before you install anything. You should do this with any software, especially if you are in the middle of projects! If I ever have a bad update like you describe, I would still be up and running with the last working version in under 10 minutes, no stress. I also use Nebula Setups and have over 100 dll's, so I can testify that thorough back-ups are like miracles when you need them.
But you should be able to update, I have been updating all along with almost zero issues for a few years now. PM me if you want some more detailed help, I bet you can get this updated quickly.

I just reread your posts and noticed something. When you say that you are doing a new installation, what files are you using? The server installation files are upgrades, so you need to have a working installation first. That might be the reason for your empty xml's, that would happen if you run the upgrade setup with no working installation first.

After a setup install Nebula need a complete boot in order to generate the master .XML file, several parameter can change depending the computer type and setting.

Run Nebula in a new fresh and no template session.

Nebula is crashing due you are trying to load you project and Nebula did not complete MAST page and also don't have the proper personal key.

There is a complete guide, How to install, upgrade and uninstall Nebula, here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=26045

PS: You ticket is responded.

Awesome. Make sure you make a good backup of all dll's and xml's. They can come in handy sometime....
