Postby flaviusr » Fri Aug 22, 2014 8:10 am

Sorry if this information is already somewhere here, i didn't find :? .

How is the best way to deal with customized plugins and xml tweeks made manually or with nebula setups when updating nebula?

Thanks a lot.

When using Nebula Setups, the best way is to make customizations (tweaks) inside the program, no need to manually edit xml files. Tweaks will be preserved when updating/saving setups.

Version 2.2 dev 1 introduces global/local tweaks. Please, see the program's version history PDF.

somebody correct me if wrong,
but most of the time the things inside the .XML don't change with a new version of Nebula (or I believe it never has at least).

So you only need to make sure the new .dll /VST file (assuming Windows for now) is copied over all the files you made.

I believe Nebula Setups has an option for this to do this automatically, right? (been ages since I used it :S).

Yes, you can update dll files only.
