guitar amp libraries?

Postby starfugger » Sat Aug 02, 2014 10:39 am

i tried the built in Nebula amp library (fender frontman, vintage amp, king kong, peavy, and about 3 more) and they were good. I'm looking for more free and commercial libraries. can anyone point me in the right direction? thanks,

The OP is asking about amp presets. Aren't yours cabs (but no amp)? I remember liking these when you first released them, but I remember them as strictly cab presets....Am I wrong?

Same goes for ownhammer. He has a lot of cabs (but kinda stopped doing nebula so read carefully that what you want actually has nebula) and some poweramps. But those are strictly poweramp, will not give you the tone stack of a real amp.

Awesome when capturing the fx-send of a real amp though .

As far as "standard" amp-sims......

As much as I tried to avoid 'algo" amp-sims, the newest Scuffman S-Gear is phenomenal, by the way.

At the moment (specially in high gain),
I don't find anything better than "algo" amp-sims.

I heard good things about Scuffman S-Gear too.
Another two Amp sims I really recommend:

TSE X50 2.0.1 (2.1 is coming soon)
http://www.tseaudio.com/home

Emissary 1.0 (by Ignite Amps).

I would also like to see the last ownhammer libraries in nebula and some hybrid nebula-algo combo "all-in-one" solution (let me dream).

You're totally right Richie. Sorry, I posted that in the middle of working a 32 hour shift (which I just finished waking up after haha)... I guarantee that I read it wrong

Thank you for the kind words though!

Back OT: Here's one more from CDSoundmaster that has some tones from guitar amps (not cabs hehe)...

Plus, the reverbs in this library are VERY good!
