Works great. Protools 11, Logic X, Nebula via Blue Cat Patch Works. Congrats Giancarlo on the great recoding and bravo everyone for a solid update that does not break everything. Proceed at you own risk obviously, I have my main rig cloned on my little lappie, it did well. Excellent in fact. If you go here, don't call Acustica support, they will tell you don't upgrade.
Wise advise, but I'm a happy guy. Love the new OS. Only thing I lost was sonnix sony plugs. They won't load. Stilwell, Nebula, PSP, Waves, Slate, IK, all good. No aqua advise, as I don't own any yet. Soon.
CPU consumption with DAW is about the same, GUI is hugely improved, snappy and fast.
New Mac Pro coming here, time to update quite a lot of stuff. What do you think about PT11 on Mavericks? Is it rock solid?
I'm also glad to hear about the Blue Cat Patch Works, most likely the next purchase for me. I've been using the FXpansion adapter so far, on PT10, but still to much a "workaround" solution, in my opinion.
I´m working with PT11 and Blue Cat Patch Works on Mavericks and it runs fine. I´m just exporting all my cubase projects to PT11. In PT i can even open more instances of Nebula than in Cuabse 7 but unfortunately R2R and Tape Booster VST doesn´t work because of no 64bit support.
Well here's the funny bit. Pro Tools 11 is quicker than Apple's own Logic X in my test. I've yet to stress them both, I've been too busy in the real world, but having opened some sessions with heavy processing/track count stress loads in PT, on the new OS things seems better optimized and more relaxed on my lappie even. (No fan kick in- Lappie is only 4 core, always get fan kick-in if I load a big session from the studio rig)
Although this incarnation is less under the hood (why nothing broke) and more a focus on GUI. It's lighting fast and I thought it was before, even more so. I suspect my perception while working is influenced by that I'm sure. The numbers say CPU load is the same, the working experience says improved.
If you are coming up excitedly from a few versions back be warned. Moving to Mavericks took some tuning. That said jumping from say, Jag to Yo may be heart wrenching. Up side is all the vendors are in the pocket and have ready and waiting soft ware that has already been vetted. To me, in a nutshell Yo is Mavericks out of beta.
Hopi, love your skins yes! You are a clever and respected lad indeed! I cannot thank you enough for your contributions. I will forward your suggestions to Apple on the naming scheme. I kept telling them to just get on with it and call it windows 9 already.
Given that this in NOT an OSX board, let me summarize by saying the take away here is that Nebula works very, very well in 10.10.
Best wishes to all.

Hi Dream! No, it's pretty straight forward. PT 11 has a 30 day demo and Blue Cat does as well, crippled but the idea is there. Might do a test to see what might need to be tweaked/ how your system reacts using a clone and the demos.
i´m on cubase 7.0.7, too. The only thing is that when i open a Nebula instance in PT 11 the channel meter is going crazy for about 10 sec but it doesn´t affect anything so that´s ok for me. I´m still hoping for an aax version of Nebula one day.
