technology goes on, a little teaser

New refinements on compressors and ALL dynamic programs.
https://app.box.com/s/5gm5ie7qnlublf8j97jh

as you can see from the shape of processed, there is a real limiter effect on. In this example something overcompressed, a typical squeezed radio broadcasting setting.

Nebula is running a numeric compressor at a 0.046 ms prog rate (46 microseconds), at crazy attack and release times (1 ms, 4 ms) and you can see there isn't the usual ringing effect. Obviously at these settings it is a cpu hog.

wow this looks great!!!

will older programs benefit from this also?
system 1: windows 8 32 bit - samplitude prox, tracktion6, reaper
system 2: mac osx yosemite - reaper(32+64bit), tracktion6(32+64bit)

both systems on: macbook pro (late 2009), core 2 duo 3,06 ghz, 4 gb ram, graphic: nvidia geforce 9600M GT 512 MB

Awesome work you're trying to get Compressors to be better overall! They keep improving and improving over the years!

but may I ask, is this any different than the 'nebula compressor' version-approach people like Gemini are already using now? They already had a prograte of 0.016 ms right? Or am I thinking of something different? (The 'RATE' in Edit->GLOB says 0.041ms on those programs).

Is this a further enhancement of this trick? Or an official way? Or something completely different? Just very curious :).

This is already explained in tips and in MAST page FAQ
PROG RATE = RATE or PROG RATE < RATE are only possible. Never PROG RATE > RATE, Nebula will force the emulation prese to PROG RATE = RATE.

yes we unlocked parameters officially too. You'll not be limited to 2ms prog rate if your cpu is faster enough.
It is like game engines, you are not limited to 500 fps (2ms) any more but you can go till 10000 fps more or less

Enrique, Giancarlo already answered the question perfectly... Your answer seems to be about prograte rules, not what I asked.

Enrique has tried to help you twice in the past days and although the answers haven't satisfied your questions I think there are better ways to reply like a simple "thanks" or just ignore. I also replied on one thread you were discussing CPU load and you seemed to feel attacked by this.

I think a better attitude is in order, my friend.
