keep in mind it is related to your system performances Here scanboot+708+ssd+mac= blazing fast. I think Ill make a video. A 2000 preset library is incredibly fast. Things loads in a sort of nevrotic way. Most of presets in my library are about hundreds of samples for several hundreds of megabytes each one. You should compare it with samplers, they are way slower here
1.3.6xx was already blazing fast, and I don't see that much of a difference on 708. Preset loading is faster (and smoother ). I think the limiting factor in 'nebula boot time' is my hdd-raid0 array. Good transfer rates, slower seek rates .
jorismak wrote:Clearing temp\ and ~scanboot.xml seemed to result in (just a bit) faster loading of presets. Loading the plugin onto a track (or loading a project with nebula on it) still takes 2 seconds or so.
It will always take some time but it's definitely better in 708. I have 4386 programs installed and it takes like 5 seconds to load the first instance but then next instances are much faster, like 1 second each which is a big improvement over previous version because all instances took a long time to load.

I use Nebula Setups (AMAZING "must-have app with Nebula for me...), so I have 50+ individual Nebula dll's, but each one only loads the fewer specific presets, so after my temp cache is rebuilt by loading the full Nebula once, these "smaller" dll's are almost instant! Working with nebula has never been so easy for me.
