yes, all MFC programs revert to INIT.

i was using alternativedatapath but alex told me that MFC should be installed in nebularepository\programs so i deleted everything, reinstalled in nebularepository, generated a new SER, sent it to alex and the new AUT didn't work either.

This does not sound right ... as to installation!

I verified on mine ... it is no different than any other library install.

Only 'programs' go into the Program folder and ONLY 'vectors into the 'Vectors' folder within nebulatemprepository.

i'm assuming you're talking about nebula.xml and nebula reverb.xml.

yes, EVERY library that i've ever installed uses alternativedatapath to set the library's location.

i've never had anything in \nebularepository\programs other than the AA commercial library...and now MFC.

i know...i just wasn't very specific but all presets are in 'programs' and all vectors are in the 'vectors' folder.

i'm not saying that there's no way this could be user error but i have installed...oh...over 100 libraries over the past 4 years without A SINGLE hiccup. i can install nebula libraries in my sleep.

thanks for all the help,
marco

1. Rename NebulaServer.ser to Nebula3.ser and authorize Nebula.
2. Install your key.
3. Install your library in Vectors and Programs folders. Do not use alternative path yet.
4. Load an AA library Emulation Preset for test Nebula key.
5. Load MFC Emulation Preset for test AlexB AUT.

Nebula Server (the stand alone app) not support alternative path.

hi enrique.

i followed all of your steps and MFC still reverts to 'INIT'. all other commercial, free and 3rd party presets are working.

i also deleted scanboot.xml and temp but MFC still doesn't authorize.

thanks,
marco

i don't know if this information is helpful but...

when i use a text editor to open my SER files they are all identical.

APEQ.ser
Nebula3.ser
MFCPRO.ser

they all have an identical 10 digit number.

when i open the two AUT files that i got from alex they are also identical.

they both have an identical 39 letter code.

this leads me to believe that the MFC AUT files are OK and no matter how many times i were to re-install MFC, the SER file would never change. and neither would the AUT files that alex has sent me.

so it seems that the SER will never change and neither will the AUT.

why it doesn't work is still a mystery.

thanks,
marco

EDIT: email sent.
