multiple nebularepositories

Postby xyxxjx » Fri Feb 28, 2014 3:04 am

Is it possible to have multiple nebularepositories? I have an ssd hard disk for faster load of libraries, but I'm running out of space on it. I would like to create a second nebularepository on a second hard disk while keeping the first one on the ssd. Is this possible. If so how do I do it?

it's possible but you'd have to access each nebularepository with it's own nebula plugin as any single nebula XML file can only reference a single repository location. at least AFAIK.

PS: if you want to have access to all libraries on both drives in a single instance of nebula you can just create a new folder on the new hdd and add that location to nebula3.xml and nebula3 reverb.xml

for example:
add
<ALTERNATIVEDATAPATH> x:\nebularepository2\
</ALTERNATIVEDATAPATH>

x = your new hdd, whatever drive letter it is.

create your 'programs' and 'vectors' folders in
x:\nebularepository2\ and you should be good to go.
whatever libraries you install there will show up in your existing nebula.

just so you know you have another option.
