1.3.636 released apparently, what's new?

Postby jorismak » Thu Jan 23, 2014 4:52 pm

Where is the announcement and / or changelog for this new version that's suddenly in my downloads section? :)

edit: who edits the subject and title of my post?!

no crashing here on previous versions. It's been stable all since 1.3.492. I hope they made a little tweak to the engine somewhere so library developers can make better compressors or stuff like that :).

But I believe there was no changelog what so ever for 1.3.505.

Then 1.3.600 came with an entry in the news section and something like a changelog, but than 1.3.601 / 1.3.602 came without any notification (I just happened to find them in the downloads section, the same now with 1.3.636).

So I know the (few) guys are probably busy - and it's NAMM season :) - but standard stuff like 'new version notification' and a changelog should not be overlooked.

Thanks, but this is .636 :P.

I'm very _very_ curious what the' 'RIAA complaint' was :), but I guess we will never know.

Basically, the bugs fixed are .ser generation + MAST-page crash fix, and besides that there are more options and possibilities for Skin creators (now and in the future), that's how I read it :).

Chaining by skins, means you can (eventually, I understand that it's future-work) create a N**e 1073 skin for example that chains all the EQ-bands from AlexB's 73EQ together? Sounds cool :).

Version 1.3.636 for Mac seems to be corrupt.

I tried it twice.

There are 2 versions in my folder, one with VSTGUI3.
I'm on Osx 10.6.8, so which one should I use?
I really hope this version will solve the gui crashes!
