CPU spikes with Nebula PRO - LogicX - Mavericks

Postby dejanilly » Sat Jan 18, 2014 10:36 pm

Hi

I have cpu spikes when running more than 4 instances of Nebula in LogicX, Mavericks so the program is unusable.
I have tried all buffer settings that i could (in Nebula and Quartet) but nothing seems to help.
I did not have any problems with same presets and same number of instances under Mountain Lion.
I am running Nebula through 32Lives.

Has anyone has the same troubles or is just me :(

Please help

Thank you

1. Check your CPU(s) consumption.
2. Check under Logic x86 without 32Lives.

Yes i am using 32bit AU 1.3.608 Version.............like there is 64 bit au

I can't try it in x86 mode because Logic X doesn't support it anymore !!!

...but like i said i've tried it on Mountain Lion with the same computer setup, same Nebula version and it was working with no problems.

The CPU consumption is really minimal (like 30-40% when i run like 8 instances of Nebula reverb with Omnisphere synth). But then suddenly spike to 100% occurs and audio glitch.
What i've noticed that Nebula uses only one core in audio (i have 4 cores and 8 threads in my CPU)....in logic x.
I've read that they put some cpu/memory optimisations into OSX Mavericks. Maybe that's why i have problems ?

Thank you :)

OK. I think they are not using CPU Multithreading. I'll contact developers to get 32Lives NFR for test. Could be not intermediately.
