Nebula 4 - to be released in November 2014?

Postby dagovitsj » Sat Jan 11, 2014 11:03 pm

Hi!
I read this from Giancarlo in another thread:

since version 1.3.619 (to be released) it is possible to create a skin with a really small lcd (only preset name is supported) and no other displays. Alternatively you could disable all lcd at once even now. It happens because nebula is supporting things coming from upcomng product nebula4, to be released on november 2014 [my marking]. For this reason we are constantly improving the skinning engine, and also old nebula3 is taking advantage of this.
If you find a skin developer tell him to contact me and I'll provide syntax, so when 1.3.619 will be release everything will be ready

Is it possible to make a "wish list" for features in Nebula 4, or have you already "locked" the list of features and just working day and night to reach your deadline?

With all the nice skins coming up lately, it would really have been a great feature to be able to right click and assign the knobs to MIDI, so that we could have the Nebula sound and hardware feeling turning a real knob.

Is it possible to see the list of what Nebula 4 will bring to the table?

yes you could.... but be aware the product is completely planned, I mean we have a gantt on it so yes, everything is locked... I could tell you if the feature is already included or not.
For example, we can't add numeric editing on parameters, which is a limitation coming from our core engine which will not be modified. The product will remove a lot of current limitations, but not everything. It's all about usability and less about the engine (the engine is pretty mature: it's not perfect, but it features something never released by other developers; ie compressors are not perfect but they fill a gap in audio industry).

If you think you could beta-testing it send an email to me.

1. I/O Gain at least 24db (Now you cannot boost output higher that +6db)

2. Sample Accurate Peak Level and RMS Metering

3. Multiple programs chained in one instance.

4. A way to tap into Nvidia and AMD GPU power without the extra latency of Nebula Reverb

Thanks, giancarlo! That is great news :D
Yes, I'll send you an email! Very exiting info regarding "Multiple programs chained in one instance." and "Sample Accurate Peak Level and RMS Metering".
