Definitive database of ideal input gain for different libs

Postby twoohfour » Wed Nov 02, 2011 11:03 pm

Well, I've been in Nebula-land for a few weeks now and am blown away by the results so far. That said, I'm certain I'm not the only person who is a little bit lost when it comes to input gain staging with all these different libraries.

It might benefit everyone, to avoid the "ask the developer" blanket response, to have a little repository of ideal input gains....

A few that I would love to know:

AITB Fate EQ
AITB Mammoth
VNXT EMT 140
BAE 1073 / A*I Libraries
SignaltoNoize L*****n 480

I'm cruising with -18 dbfs using FreeG right now, but it would be great to know if that's always the best case scenario...

This seems to be a minefield...

I keep the peaks below -6 going in on everything and then use the input to drive it.

Some take more than others.
Forthcoming releases on: Black Heart Label, Hyperdrive and Transfixion. http://soundcloud.com/100mg. 6 FREE Downloads on my soundcloud page. Nebula ALL over these trax!
