Finally i did it! SEPERATE GR METER!

Postby joshuagomez » Sat Feb 02, 2013 4:21 pm

Hi guys!

I built a plugin that's showing us Nebula Compressor's GR meter!

For now i just did it for master bus.But there is an problem. You have to crate 2 Sub Bus Channel.

The idea is really basic.

After crate 2 Sub Bus,send all channels to it like master bus.And use any Nebula Compressor Programs with only one Bus! Another Sub Bus will be empty and don't send this channel to master bus!

Now send empty sub bus channel to sub bus with Nebula. And choose 3/4 channel.

When you use compressor you will see how much dB you compress.

NOTE;DON'T USE "MAKE UP"!

Don't use make up and if you want to increase gain, you can use Master Bus with any gain programs.

If you interested it,want BETA version.I will send.

Thanks!

this sounds interesting, but i don't quite understand what it does or why this is an advantage? nebula shows its GR in the plugin GUI, why is it needed to be shown elsewhere?

maybe a screen shot would reveal more?

i have an idea for a simple vst application that could be used to control a single band of nebula eq in a new way. i will post that in a minute, maybe you could reply if it is possible?

keep up the good nebula related programming :)

BTW i optimized it with only 2 Sub Bus.It was working with 3 but now with 2.

Actually it's advantage. Some compressor program's GR meters are not working good.

And You can use it to control. You don't have to go master channel to check GR meter.Put it into a corner and see what's happen with compressor.

And it will be the most sensitive.
