Few upgrading questions..

Postby cehas » Wed Dec 05, 2012 7:53 am

Hello,

I just upgraded from Nebula3 to Nebula3Pro. I installed the VST into the same folder as the previous version (without removing it first).

1) Will the .SER file be created in the "nebulatemprepository" OR in the VST folder? (because both have one, and the creation dates are both wrong. Is this normal?)

2) Will it be named Nebula3.SER or something different (for the Pro version, because the .dll files are named Nebula3CoreII64)?

Thank you.

Open .SER file in a text editor. Should have the same number inside. If the .SER files are the same you don't new to request a new key. .SER file name change in order to know which product you have when you request and upload to us KEYS.

You can change the Nebula instance in your old projects or rename the new .DLLs as the old Nebula3 names, but just remember to do it all time that you download a new version upgrade.

For example I rename Nebula3CoreII as Nebula3PRO and Nebula3CoreIII as Nebula3PROClient

OK, thanks, got it running. But now my stock libraries aren't working at all (I just get INIT, 3rd party libraries work just fine). Do I need to reinstall them?

EDIT: I tried to load an old project with Nebulas.. now it says authorization missing (maybe I need to mention that I had a instance called "Nebula Compressors" as advised somewhere).

If you make a product upgrade from a setup file you overwrite your key from customer to demo. Apply again you key or request it again sending to us the .SER file again.
