Windows7 x64 / Sonar 8.5 x64 / Nebula 3 32-bit issue

Postby MESA4X12ER » Mon May 31, 2010 4:12 pm

So I just built a whole new machine just to have an easier time with Nebula and now I can't really use it at all. The

"Nebula" plug-in allows sound to pass through but none of the programs do anything to the signal.

"Nebula Reverb" plugin allows the first second of audio through and then there is silence.

I have installed the newest version available to me. I have sent my .SER and gotten my installer back and this is where I'm at. Not having issues with any of my other plug-ins, just Nebula.

Has anyone else experienced this? I've been having this problem for days and feel it is an issue with the software. This is Not Nebula 3 Pro.. it is Nebula 3 32-bit regular edition. Not the free one but the 80Eur one. Thanks.

Way back when, I had tried Sonar 8 x64 with Nebula x32 and it was a bit of a hassle. I suspect it's a bridging issue. Are you using Sonars bit bridge or something else?

Yeah just using the Sonar BitBridging. Haven't had any of my other plugs have an issue yet though and I was testing them all out to make sure I wouldn't have any suprises. It's a real shame Nebula x64 is considered an upgrade.

I can understand that... But, as a general rule of thumb, and since one can't know everybody's exact system and settings etc. to troubleshoot, where ever you can use x64 with x64, go for it and you'll have most likely have a smoother experience.

True but as much as I've spent on the libraries to go with this thing and a new PC even to handle it better the last thing I want to do is spend more money.

I just bought a house to build a studio in and I'm just about completely tapped out. That's the way it goes I guess.

You have to run the x64 pro version of Nebula in Sonar 8.5 x64. If you have a licenced copy you can download the latest from your user area on this site.
