I have recently moved to osx from windows 7 , and need to get nebula pro and server running on the new osx machine. I have copied the WHOLE main directory from my pc which contained everything (including the pc SER file) and it is now in Library/Audio/Presets/AcusticaAudio/Nebula3 I have also installed the latest server for osx -1.3.499n The program seems to load as normal as a vst and AU but surely its using the old PC auth... how is it working at all? ? I am getting some presets working, others not,so I'm not convinced this is installed correctly..... What SHOULD I do to make this a true, correct authorised clean install, while using all my old presets and purchased libraries
You need to repeat the whole authorization process (install Nebula, instantiate, send .SER file). It can't be copied from hard drive to hard drive or one machine to another. That shouldn't affect your Programs/Vectors folders (which hold all of your programs), those you can copy.
I've actually never installed on OS X yet so I'm afraid I can't help you much with that side of the problem; but it sounds like you did the right thing (blow away the old install and reinstall from scratch). Hopefully someone else can come along with more Mac-centric knowledge.
My MBP comes next week so I'll be watching for replies, will have a similar task myself.
