Pro vs Server

Postby grame » Thu Aug 09, 2012 2:07 pm

Is there any difference between these two on OSX? I have the pro version but saw the server version has support for 64 bit. Is there an upgrade path?

Cheers

If I have the Mac version of Pro 3, what is the upgrade path to the Server version?

Edit: Nevermind, I just found the upgrade page. Thanks...

it would be great if nebula pro could be upgraded to CoreIII. it has been over a year since any update for nebula, and there was talk of making it available for nebula pro users as a free upgrade at the time.

has anyone bought the server version just to get the improved ram performance? i would bet that no-one even knew about this improved ram performance ;)

Just upgraded to server edition, the loading time reduced is worth the bucks :)

Maybe I got lucky and read the right thread at the right moment, but I upgraded to the server version almost a year ago specifically because of the optimized ram usage, which I read about on this forum. I believe it was an announcement Giancarlo made when the server edition was first introduced. Sometimes things here get updated and it is not like a slap in the face or huge announcement. You have to pay attention and read different categories of this forum. I am pretty geeky though and have little interesting stuff in my life besides my great sounding audio tools....lol.
