Nebula reverbs drop out cpu

Postby dejanilly » Mon Aug 08, 2011 7:19 pm

Hi

I just upgraded to Nebula 1.3.492.
After upgrade all my Nebula reverbs (i mean the reverb emulations like EMT140VNXT and so on) don't work anymore. If i load just one instance of nebula with reverb emulation it just push the cpu to it's limit and that's it.
Before upgrade i could load couple of reverb Nebulas. So......also my older projects are now not working anymore.

I'm working with Logic 9.

Should i change some settings or something like that ?

Please,....help...i'm desperate :(

Same issue here, even tried the max buffer in Neb and my host Logic 8 with no solution.

still does not work, I'm on 2.3 i5 and can load TONs of other Nebula programs @ 96khz, even chokes out my Mac Pro with one single instance.

Wish the developers would have stated that 96khz sample rates are not supported.

I am experiencing this exact same problem. Am on site now looking for a solution, either an upgrade or a downgrade, because 1.3.492 just chokes everything to a halt. Old projects that used to run easily now don't play at all. Acustica, please help.

I had numerous problems, although different ones, with that version of Nebula. I upgraded to the current experimental version, "n" I believe, and it works better than ever. I also have the server version, and running it as a regular instance, and this was a huge boost in performance too. Try the newest experimental version. Save your current xml file and current install first, just in case.

Thanks for the reply Richie. How do you save that file and that install?
I did install the experimental version, it wouldn't run either (in Logic), so I then installed an old version from October 2010 I believe, and it seems to be working, but I did not save anything. Have I got in trouble?

I doubt that there will be any "trouble". I always save my whole install folder before I do an upgrade. I set up a custom install location, so I don't know where yours is located. Default is probably somewhere in your program files. The folder is called "acustica" and it contains all of the dll's and xml files. I also have tweaked my xml to better suit my system specs and needs, so I tend to be paranoid about "upgrades". But I am on a PC, and I assume that you are on Mac...? If so, I am probably not going to be much help  But if things are working better, go with that!!
