here's the test I made.

http://www.lvmastering.com/neb3_vintage_eq_242_test.zip

The zip file contains 4 wav :

Dry : obviously....

Electriq : Aixcoustic posihfopit Eq : warm filter
digital mode
freq 1329hz -1.6dB, Q=0.9 out_gain : NA

SVC 517 : sonalksis eq (V1) Type 1
freq 1330hz -1.6dB, Q=1.8 out_gain =0dB

Neb3_vintage_eq : the Neb3free preset number 242
freq 1331hz -1.5dB, Q=82% out_gain=+0.48

The song is a fast bossa with a modern sound and the inherent amount of compression.
This way, a dynamic reduction can be heard more easily.

To Darren : no I didn't really tested the eq239 (state of logic)
To Enrique : I couldn't find the "non linear" switch in the Kernell page. (may be it is more complicated to adjust...is it ????)

We will post some information about non lineal distortion ASAP. If you have more than one kernel on KERN page you already have non lineal distortion.

The most important things:
1. Energy does not disappear, is distributed throughout the audio spectrum.
2. An audio signal thru a non lineal distortion device summed with a second audio signal thru a non lineal distortion device IS NOT the same that an audio signal summed with a second audio and after send to a thru a non lineal distortion device. Use 1 kHz pure sine and 1.2 kHz pure sine, Nebula with a preamp emulation program with several distortion kernels. Use a FFT spectrum analyzer plug-in and your sequencer for see the results.

I downloaded the W295b over the weekend for a stab at diy mastering and it knocked my socks off
