What free libraries should i get, and other newbie questions

Postby the19thbear » Mon Aug 01, 2011 1:15 pm

OK.
SO i have decided to sell my UAD2 card and use nebula instead. (along with other vst's)

-I remember having read on nebulas homepage that you cant import user libraries on the free nebula version??? Seems weird, because i also remember having imported user libraries which worked fine!?!?

-I have heard that the nebula Comps arent soo good yet - so im mostly looking for good reverbs, preferebly the EMT 140

Any free ones out there? ( or dirt cheap)
And have i understood correctly that you only get one band at a time with nebula eqs? I'm looking for the classic pulteq eq, but might use Softubes instead, if nebula only gives you one band at a time..

Thanks alot!

You can find an emt140 here, the 2,5 seconds versions are free. The BX20E, on the top of the page, is also very nice. Others you are looking for either the cooltec by CDsoundmaster and Pooltek by Alex B

Also, Sonimus Soneq is a BANGING eq, the most hardware like pultec-type eq out there in algo form imo; it's got a high-shelf, not bell though, with some nice filters and a cool saturation.
